A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Elfije LeMaitre leads Capgemini’s Resources & Energy Transition Business Unit. She is an expert in technology-enabled energy transition, corporate and non-profit strategy, and digital transformation. She and the Capgemini team are focused on helping clients achieve the future they want, including reducing emissions while growing revenue, increasing profit, and improving safety.Â

Prior to joining Capgemini in 2019, Mrs. LeMaitre was a Managing Director at Accenture where she spent 15 years helping energy, government and non-profit clients design and successfully execute their strategies.Â

Mrs. LeMaitre has a MS in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines, a MS in Petroleum Economics and Management from IFP Energies Nouvelles, and a BS in International Economics from Georgetown University.
